"Work Holiday Singapore" allows you to work or complete a paid training from 2 to 6 months. Parenthese, with our local partner Speedwing, will take care of everything from your job or internship placement to your housing options, your insurance and the visa.

| Eligibility Criteria |

In order to participate in the "Work Holiday Singapore" program, you must:
Be a student or graduate from a Higher Education institution in France, Germany, the UK, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, New Zealand or the US
Be a student or graduate from one of the Ministry of Manpower’s recognized universities listed here: Ministry of Manpower
Be between the ages of 17 and 30
Have sufficient English language skills to function in a business setting (intermediate or advanced)
Be able to support yourself financially during the entire stay (minimum income of 750$ SIN/month) or show financial guarantees (bank or family-related) that are equivalent.

The Placement Service and Timeline |
|
|
As with any international project, you need to plan in advance. The placement in a job or internship as well as the Visa process can take from 4 to 5 months to complete.
Your project step by step:
Step 1 : Email us your resume/CV with photo, your cover letter, the "Working Holiday Program Singapore Registration Form", Confirmation Form with your deposit (100£ of this deposit is non-refundable) and the photocopy of your passport, enrolment certificate or diploma.
Step 2 : Within 3 business days, you will receive a confirmation by email as to whether or not your project is possible.
Step 3 : Speedwing, our local partner will start sourcing an employer who fits your needs. This process can take from one week to three months depending on the number of offers and the specifications of your request.
Step 4 : Once Speedwing has found an employer, you will receive the employer profile by email. If the profile and mission are suitable to your needs, an interview will be scheduled using SKYPE. A maximum of 3 offers will be provided.
Step 5 : Confirmation of your employer and housing.
Step 6 : Reception of the "In-Principal Approval Letter" necessary for your Visa. This process can take from 3 to 4 months.
Step 7 : Departure for Singapore with your pick up and transfer provided by Speedwing
Step 8 : The Working Holiday Visa is printed in Singapore following your appointment with the Employment Pass Services Center. This appointment will be scheduled for you by Speedwing.

Housing - You will be given 3 housing options before your departure. You must confirm one option before leaving as this is one of the conditions required for the Working Holiday Visa. Please note that your rent is not included in the program fees.

Participant Handbook -all the information you need for your stay is found in this guide: banking, taxes, transportation, climate, customs, etc.

Complete Insurance coverage - You will be covered by CareMed insurance the GOLD policy. This insurance will cover you during the period of stay indicated on your application. The GOLD policy is unlimited and without a co-pay.

| Types of jobs |
|
|
You are allowed to work or train in all professional areas that do not require a local certification (ex: medical, nursing, etc…). The vast majority of offers are in retail, business development and marketing.

| Duration |
|
|
You can start your program at any time of the year for a minimal stay of 2 months and a maximum of 6 months.
You must arrive 5 days before the start date of your job or internship. You can also stay up to 30 days after your job or internship end date to travel and visit Singapore. There are no extensions possible on this Visa.
You can participate as many times as you wish in the program Work Holiday Singapore, however a hiatus of 12 months must be observed between each participation.

| Budget |
|
|
Participants are required to arrive with at least 2000 SGD (around 1200€). These funds will be used for your housing deposit, opening of a bank account and personal expenses while waiting for your first pay.
Housing : Student apartment options vary between 450$SIN and 700$SIN per month for a quad or a double room. For a private room, count between 800$SIN to 950$SIN per month.
Salary : Salaries vary depending on your position and job description with an average between 750$SIN and 1 800$SIN per month. On average, you should budget a supplement of 1000 SGD (around 600€) per month from personal funds in addition to your salary in order to cover all your living expenses.
Program Fees : (Placement service, insurance and Visa included) between 1360€ (for 2 months) and 1544€ (for 6 months)

| Airplane Ticket |

|
For your airplane ticket, we recommend that you contact Travel Voyages with whom Parenthese has established a partnership and negotiated competitive prices and conditions, adapted to our programs. You must have a round trip ticket for the Work & Travel Singapore Visa.
You will enjoy a priority service and your ticket will be sent to you at home at no extra charge. In addition, Travel Voyages offers optional "visa" insurance: your airplane ticket is 100% refundable in case your visa is refused.

| ISE Card |
|
|
Before your departure, you can choose to obtain an ISE card, which is an internationally recognized identification and discount card. It is valid throughout the entire world for a period of one year from your program start date. Aside from offering you numerous discounts, the ISE card reimburses your insurance co-pay. For detailed information, please visit the ISE website: www.isecard.com/generic.
To qualify for the ISE card, you must be a student or recent graduate (there is no upper age limit to qualify for the student card) or an adult under the age of 26.
Benefits:
- World-wide discounts saving you hundreds of Euros on your trips. The guaranteed discounts are indicated on the ISE website. However, the list on the website is far from being exhaustive. Do not forget to show your card every time you make a purchase.
- Medical benefits up to $ 2,000 US in medical expenses and up to $ 5,000 US in evacuation expenses, if necessary. This insurance will cover you during your eventual trips outside Singapore, but it is not valid in your country of origin.
- International telephone card included: savings up to 70% off your calls. As an ISE Card holder, you receive free talk time ready to use on your ISE Global Phone card AND you receive a special $5 calling bonus the first time you recharge your phone card. Your ISE Global Phone card also includes voicemail, webmail, text messaging, travel vault and document store
How to get an ISE card?
E-mail us your photo in a JPG format and pay the 26 Euro fee (by check or credit card). We will send you your card along with the rest of your official documents.
